That is a good point, those were some of the cameras that fell on a boundary.<BR/><BR/>The grouping is organizational and it is going in both directions, up and down a specific company's line-up, and also left to right across the manufacturers.<BR/><BR/>The reason E1/E3 were included in the top box was because they are flagship DSLRs in their line-up (vertical over horizontal). I find hard to understand why the Olympus E-3 is listed in the above part of your chart, while the Nikon D-300 and the Pentax K20D are listed in the mid part. In my opinion, and having a deep look at their features, all of them belong to the same category of cameras, nothing to do with the big popes of Canon and Nikon (1D and D3)
